Gas prices are on the rise everywhere. In the US I paid $3.19 per gallon in late May and $3.46 in mid-August. Now it's even higher. It helps however to put things in perspective:
- on August 10, I paid $43.29 for 12.516 gallons, that is €35.26 for 47.4 liters
- in Portugal all summer people have been paying €90 to fill a tank of 50 liters
