The winter goes on relentless. Since the beginning of the year (a little over a month ago) there have been several major storms affecting large regions of the country on an almost daily basis. The northeast has seen its usual annual quota of snow concentrated in January alone, yet most storms usually occur in the month of February that has just started.
Today, a massive storm system is leaving almost all of the states of Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas covered in snow or ice while significantly affecting the neighboring states of Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Oklahoma, Colorado and Tennessee. Nashville has narrowly escaped all storms so far... fingers crossed for just rain this time around!

O inverno segue implacável. Desde o princípio do ano (há pouco mais de um mês) sucederam-se várias enormes tempestades que afetaram grandes zonas do país quase diariamente. A região do nordeste atingiu em Janeiro o volume de neve que costuma ter no ano inteiro, no entanto a grande maioria das tempestades costuma acontecer em Fevereiro.
A gigantesca tempestade de hoje está a deixar os estados do Kansas, Missouri e Arkansas quase todos cobertos de neve ou gelo, enquanto afeta também os estados vizinhos do Nebraska, Iowa, Indiana, Illinois, Oklahoma, Colorado e Tennessee. Nashville, até agora, tem escapado a todas as tempestades mas por muito pouco... esperemos que desta vez também seja só chuva!
