A propósito dos Jogos Olímpicos de Inverno que começam oficialmente amanhã em Sochi na Rússia, pus-me a consultar distâncias no google maps. Fiquei surpreendida ao verificar que de Lisboa a Sochi vão 5,359km (ou 3,330mi), mais 51km (ou 33mi) que de Seattle a Miami (5,308km ou 3,297mi).
Apropos the Winter Olympics in Sochi Russia, I started checking distances on google maps. I was surprised to see that the trip Lisbon to Sochi is 3,300mi (or 5,359km), 33mi (51km) more than from Seattle to Miami (3,297mi or 5,308km).

Lisbon to Sochi can be reduced to 5,317 km
Funny how google changes the routes from day to day. Yesterday the 5,317km route was not available and today the first option is no longer 5,359km. In any case, some tweaking of the Lisbon-Sochi route can get it down to 5,313km, that is just 5km (3.1mi) more than from Seattle to Miami!
