Fifty years ago today, The Beatles gave their first live concert in the US in front of 8,092 spectators. The Washington concert happened just two days after their first appearance on american tv in the Ed Sullivan show where they performed for 728 studio spectators and 73 million viewers at home, then the largest audience of all time. They kept on breaking records!
