Yesterday's New York Times brings an article on Portugal's wine country (or shall I say one of Portugal's wine countries): the Douro Valley. The author not only reviews several of the region's wines but also provides a glowing image of what the region has to offer. With so much interest in the region, I wonder why I know so little about it... perhaps it's time to plan a few days there myself!
