Less than two months after the capture of Ratko Mladic, Serbia's authorities arrested Goran Hadzic, the last of the fugitives indicted of crimes against humanity in the 1990s Balkan's war. On the run since 2004, when he was indicted, Hadzic will now have to respond in person at the Hague's international court. At the age of 52 it will be hard, but not impossible that the defense strategy should turn to the "too ill to be fit for trial" thesis, but let's wait and see.
A few pages in history are hard to turn, but at least in this case, Serbia seems to have done all that could be done, though late.
