The Tree of Life (2011). I was drawn by the quality of the cast and the seemingly enticing trailer. In the end I got a disconnected sequence of scenes, plenty of which seemed rather senseless within the story, not to talk about the accessory and out of purpose scenes about the origin of the universe, dinosaurs, solar explosions, planets and alike. Overall the movie is slow and hard to follow even if it is randomly accompanied by spectacular landscapes and space images that could have been taken from a BBC or National Geographic documentary. I bet the movie has its followers/admirers... just not my kind of thing.
