Denial (2016) is based on the true story of David Irving, Holocaust denier, who launched a libel suit against Deborah Lipstadt, historian of the Holocaust. According to UK law her work withdrew credibility to his and as such, he sued her for depriving him of his reputation and ability to earn a living. It was on her to prove she was not wrong, that is, to demonstrate the Holocaust did happen. The movie focuses on the legal battle that ensued and the remarkable court strategy mounted point by point by a very skilled team.
