Whiskey Tango Foxtrot (2016) shows the war in Afghanistan from the perspective of the war correspondent who endures the dangerous local environment while fighting for the attention of news editors in New York. Though the tone is generally light, it's a war movie whose stories are not far from reality in Kabul, Kandahar, or Kunduz. Based on the memoir of an American international journalist on her experiences reporting in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
