Numa sala perto de mim #334

Race (2016) tells the story of Jesse Owens in the 1936 Berlin Olympics hosted by Hitler to showcase Nazi Germany to the world. In the end the games showed Owens's speed. Much like Jackie Robinson, Owens triumphed in spite of insult and abuse so prevalent in American society at the time and for decades to come. The double meaning of the title makes the movie about the speed of a remarkable athlete, but also his remarkable (almost superhuman) endurance of racial tension.

Out there there ain't no black or white, there's only fast and slow
