Still on the legacy of the unearthed street photographer Vivian Maier, the Times today brings an article about the legal battle for her work. She passed away five years ago in Chicago at age 83, leaving behind several trunks of thousands of undeveloped negatives which are now worth millions of dollars. Because the resolution of the judicial process to determine the legal heir of such fortune may take years, it may be a very long while before the world can see her splendid photos. So glad I saw the documentary back in April!
