Neither really. I suspect the best results would have come from the second if it had used a lower exposure. It has a lot more detail, but as it is I find it too bright.
True, but all the pictures were taken in auto for both cameras so that the comparison was fair. I prefer the first one here: there is less detail, but it doesn't seem that there was a giant white light on top of us at the time we took the picture. All the colors seem more faithful in the first picture, except for the empire state's illumination.
