Grass is Greener

I might start to believe it
I’ve always wondered what was best
To be brave or just to let it rest
When the anger starts to creep in
You’re doing things you don’t believe in
But when you stop to think, you realize
You only do it to get even
But the grass is always greener if it rains
Sometimes all you can do it watch it pour
You swear the devil must be playin games
But the grass is always greener if it rains
Used to think when I got older
No weight would sit on my shoulders
And even though it’s not an unbearable lot,
It just looks different than I thought
I see my parents now and wonder
Who they were when they were younger
Was 2007 hard on them too
Or was it just my point of view?
But the grass is always greener if it rains
Sometimes all you can do it watch it pour
You swear the devil must be playin games
But the grass is always greener if it rains
