The New York Times brings a video on the art installation in downtown Manhattan of a statue of a little girl defiantly facing the Wall Street bull, apropos international women's day. I understand the idea and even find the girl's statue cute. Coming from a country where defying a bull by standing in front of it is not done hypothetically (best case scenario this is what happens), I can't just abstract from that context.
O New York Times mostra hoje um video na instalação de arte no extremo sul de Manhattan da estátua de uma menina que desafia o touro de Wall Street, tudo a propósito do dia internacional da mulher. Compreendo a ideia e até gosto da estátua da menina. Vinda de um país onde desafiar um touro não é uma figura de estilo (na melhor das hipóteses acontece isto), não consigo abstrair-me desse contexto.
