43 years ago on their last manned lunar mission, the astronauts of Apollo 17 took the first picture of planet earth in its entirety from a distance of 45,000 km. They called it blue marble. Ever since no other human was far enough from the earth to do anything similar, though there have been several whole earth shots from unmanned spacecrafts.
Há 43 anos os astronautas da Apollo 17 (a última missão tripulada à lua), tiraram a primeira fotografia do planeta terra inteiro a 45,000 km de distância. Chamaram-lhe berlinde azul. Desde então nenhum outro ser humano esteve suficientemente longe da terra para fazer algo de semelhante, mas já houveram várias fotos da terra inteira feitas a partir de naves espaciais não tripuladas.
