Nomadland (2020) tells the story of a woman who, after losing her husband and her job, became a houseless roamer. Working odd jobs, driving from place to place, the nomads meet down the road and survive under strenuous conditions. How much the lifestyle is a choice and how much people are forced into that situation is unclear. Not an easy life regardless.
